              Contribution :

In this first project, I work as the accuracy coach of the group. I am concern with checking the group’s understanding and finding resources. I am also tasks with creating questions for playing the board game, help with ideas of how the board game should look like. I also agree or disagree on ideas depending on how relevant or irrelevant they are to the project we are doing.

The hardest part I have face in this project having to adjust to sudden change of idea.

Reflection on KRD subject (week 1- week 7)

I like the subject, especially doing the exercises in class together in groups, it help me understand things better.

I like Dr Tazli’s way of coordinating things, his encouragements motivate one to move forward. Its something we have never experience before, so awesome

Doing projects like this helps us learn new skills that will help us in the long run.

Reflection on KRD subject (week 7-week14)

What I enjoyed most in the second part of this course is the lecture video made by Dr Tazli, I can watch over and over gain at will, it helps me understand better. I also like how the lecturer brings in past papers to solve in class so as to enhance us in solving problems in class. However I feel that Dr Tazli expect us to have known everything before coming for lectures, I sometimes get lost ,I have to come to my room and flow things slowly as there are other subjects to focus on too.

Reflection on PSLP subject (week 1- week 7)

I like the subject because it is straight forward.

Certainly Dr Dzulkarnain Zaini makes things easier, as we solve questions in class together, gives class exercises and assignments that we solve in groups.

This doesn’t only makes things easier but makes one to understand things quicker and clearer than doing it on my own.

Reflection on PSLP subject (week 7-week14)

In this semester, the course that I enjoyed most is PSLP. It is straight forward and Dr Dzulkarnain Zaini makes things easier, as we solve questions in class together, gives class exercises and assignments that we solve in groups. It makes me understand things better as we share ideas with friends. However if it wasn’t for the exercises in class, I thing it would be boring as I feel Dr Zaini is slow in talking.

Reflection on CPDIC subject (week 1- week 7)

The first 2 topics were more clearer, but as it gets deeper to other chapters, it remind me of the basics that I learn in ODE, Heat transfer design, principle of chemical engineering. Looks like there is a very steep mountain to climb ahead.

I like the lecturer though, he has the knowledge of the subject and is trying his best.

Reflection on CPDIC subject (week 7-week14)

In the first phase of this subject, I already got scared of how I am going to pass it, but in the second phase Dr Haslinda gave me hope as I seem to understand her lecture better, this has build my confidence to pass the subject. May be in the first half everything was so new that understanding those basics were a bit hard I got frustrated, this evidence from my test one as I only scored 1% out 10%. Though Dr Haslinda was so fast in class I was able to cope up.

Reflection on the board game:

I like the board game, your mental awareness  and activeness is required if u are to score more points and win the game by answering the questions correctly. The  longer pipe you build, the more points u score and win a the game since the player with the high score wins the game. My team members are  awesome, the spirit of working together  and coming up with new ideas helps one learn new things.

Reflection on questions of KRD.

I have seen the questions and created some myself, they are moderate but some are tricky.

The tricky ones makes the game a bit difficult since you can’t continue to play if you fail to answer the question correctly.

Reflection on questions of CPDIC.

Playing the game having to answer questions on CPDIC is pretty tough compared to KRD.

You have to be mentally prepared, otherwise it will not be easy to build a pipe from one point to another.

Reflection on question of PSLP.

The questions here are almost similar in terms of strength and trickiness to KRD.

The more you answer the question correctly the easier to build the pipe from one place to another.

Reflection on mini project 2

In this project I acted as a skeptic, I asked for verification, validity  and provoke given ideas.

I also did part of the literature review, mechanical drawing, concept map, the control elements. I learnt a lot from this project, it thought me how I can turn waste into something useful. as a chemical engineering student one can embrace that as it makes one look at waste in a different perspective that what people deem as useless can be turn into something that can help the society. In this project I have also got a clear picture of what PFD, PID, sizing a reactor is. However having to mix other commitments is quite tiring especially during those busytimes when there is a lot of workload from other subjects.
