CONTRIBUTION

I am the reporter for this project. I am the one who listens with a view to presenting a summary to the class. Besides that I do also jot down details on every meet ups and finalize the update and then writes the final draft of assignment. Other than that, I do attend to all the meetings and complete the task given on time. As one of my tasks was to create questions for the quiz, I faced some difficulties in determining the right questions.

Reflection on Kinetics Reaction Design subject (week 1- week 7)

I find this subject quite interesting. Each chapters follows is development of previous chapters which makes us important to understand each chapter carefully before studying the next chapter. Besides that, our lecturer will conduct class activity or a short exercise in class and it helps us to understand the topic easily.

Reflection on Kinetics Reaction Design subject (WEEK 7-WEEK14)

Throughout this few weeks, we learnt of Collection and Analysis of Rate Data. In this chapter we learnt about the various ways to calculate the rate. We learnt about Multiple Reaction. In this chapter we learnt about how to choose reactor for each different cases in both series and parallel reaction. Lastly we leant Steady state non-isothermal reactor design. In this chapter we learnt how to size the reactor in adiabatic condition. Dr. Tazli teaches in different way and it helps to save the time. As we could study and understand the theory of the chapter earlier as he upload the video and then during class we will working on the exercises. By this, we could have our own time to listen slowly and carefully to understand the chapter. The only con by this method is that, we can’t clarify our doubt on the spot. Nevertheless, it was interesting to have something new.

Reflection on CPDIC subject (week 1- week 7)

I find this subject is quite difficult to grasp. Applying the concept that I understood into solving the questions is the hardest part. Nevertheless the lecturer teaches in the best way. He tries the best to explain it in easier and understandable way.

Reflection on CPDIC subject (WEEK 7-WEEK 14)

Throughout this few weeks, we learnt on Feedback Controller, Dynamic behavior of closed loop system, Stability Analysis of a closed loop system, Frequency Response Analysis and Process Instrumentation.
Dr. Hazlinda is an awesome lecturer. I liked the way of her teaching. She is straight to the point. Besides that she helped us a lot in understanding how to solve a problem. She able to explain things in a simpler way which makes me feel that the second half of the CPDIC is easier than the first half. Nevertheless, the first half of the CPDIC plays a role as the fundamental things to be understood before the second half. So, it is necessary for me to focus more on my first half so I can enhance my understanding on this subject better and can do the second half better.

Reflection on the board game

I like the board game that we created. It is something new for me. It was a good experience working with my team members. We able to design a game creatively that is educational and fun as well. Besides that I have learnt some new skills such as prezi, developing e-portfolio, powtoon and many more which be very useful for my future.

Reflection on the questions posed for CPDIC in the board game :

I prepared some of the questions, it had mixture of all easy, moderate and difficult part and I think it was challenging to answers all the questions over all. At some point, answering the question seems so complicating that it too so longer time and some tend to give up. Nevertheless, it helps to increases the knowledge on this subject.

Reflection on the questions posed for KRD in the board game :

I did prepare some of the questions. It did consist of all the three difficulties level. Since it only cover first 4 Chapters. Overall questions weren’t that tough but there were some questions that needed extra thinking skill to solve. It was quite fun answering these questions.

Reflection on the questions posed for PSLP in the board game :

I have seen the questions. It was generally quite easy, yet there were some complicating question which I believe to be the difficult level questions. Overall was interesting answering the questions.

Reflection on mini project 2

In this second project I play role as accuracy coach. My scope was to check group understanding on the project title. I must able to make sure all of them understand their given task properly without any problem or doubt. Besides that, my task was also to find the resources needed for completing the project successfully. I able to gain a lot of understanding about the biomass production as well as the process of waste to energy because I had to do to a lot of research regarding this topic as one of my task was to do the literature review. Upon the completion of the literature review, I came to a conclusion that anaerobic digestion is the best type of reaction process. Next, one the task assigned to make was to do the reactor sizing. During this process, I learnt that how each factor affects the sizing of the reactor and how precisely we need to analyze each contributing factor for the sizing of the reactor. Besides that, this project did help to recall back my understanding and my skills on the AUTOCAD Drawing as one of my task was to draw the mechanical drawing of the reactor we choose. We had to spend a lot of time here doing this mechanical drawing. Apart from this, one of another task was to do the costing of the reactor. It was quite challenging as we haven’t really learn about this. So, going through the textbooks and upon searching the right way to do the costing, we finally found the right method to do the costing. That’s is when I understood that how does the size of a reactor affect the costing and as well as the material used because material we used is also one of man contributing factor of the calculation of costing based on the Marshall and Swift Calculation Method. Besides that, my task was also to do the transfer function for the rector we choose. During this process, I learnt that how interconnecting each subject to each other. Through this task, I able to understand that the importance of doing the mass and energy balance as we need to select the right controller. Lastly, one of task was to do the mind map for KRD subject and my skill on using PREZI is improving throughout this semester. Although this project was time consuming and tiring, I am glad I did learnt something which will be useful for me in real life as an engineer or perhaps as an intern for upcoming Industrial Training. Nevertheless, I enjoyed working with my team members.
